The foundation has indicated it only makes contributions to preselected charitable organizations and does not accept unsolicited requests for funds.
Although some grants may be made based on grant proposals received by the Foundation,as the primary method of grant and charitable gifts making will be only to organizations exempt from federal income tax under IRC section 501(c)(3), and classified as publicly supported charities under 509(a)(1),(2) and (3) as well as to other organizations exclusively for charitable scientific or educational purposes with the Foundation retaining discretion and control (within the meaning of Rev. Rul. 68-489) and exercizing expenditure responsibility when required by IRC section 4945, and accomplished by internal Board selection, there currently are no submission requirements.
For Grantees receiving grants for specific projects as well as for all non public charities restrictions and limitations on awards will be determined by the Board of the Foundation at the time the grant or gift is made, and made part of the grant agreement which the grantee will be required to sign. In addition, the grant agreement will require that grants are used for specific purposes and funds not so expended be returned to the Foundation. The Foundation will also require reports to be submitted at the conclusion of the grant project, or annually if the project extends beyond one year.
