the Sacramento Pioneer Association awards a promising area high school senior with a scholarship for attendance at a four-year college or university. The amount of the award is determined on an annual basis by the Pioneer Association Board of Directors based on available resources. Our award is earned by a graduating high school senior who exhibits academic excellence, leadership potential, civic engagement and a strong sense of personal commitment to continuing education. We are particularly interested in rewarding qualified students who share our interest in the cultural and environmental history of the Northern California region.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust plan to attend a four-year college or university beginning the next academic year.Overall grade point average of 3.0 or better.
